A Chartered Insurer and a Fellow (FCII) of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom has over 25 years work experience with over 15 years in senior positions. Prior to his appointment Manfred has worked as an Underwriting Manager for CGU International Insurance and as the Deputy General Manager for NICO General Insurance Company Limited and NICO Insurance Zambia Limited. He has been inter-alia in charge of underwriting matters including re-insurance and setting rates to regulate the Insurance Industry under the umbrella of the Insurance Association of Malawi. He was, once, a part time lecturer for insurance courses at Malawi College of Accountancy. |

| Manfred has attended various insurance technical courses in Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and USA. He was awarded the Student of the Year Award in 1994 after having qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom. |
